What we are hiring for:

We are currently hiring a part-time Maintenance Worker for our locations across Lambton County, Ontario. The successful candidate will support LCDS by:

- Performing routine building maintenance and minor repairs related to HVAC, plumbing and electrical
- Completing preventative maintenance and general upkeep tasks including painting, drywall repairs, sprinkler system checks
- Completing repairs in a timely manner
- Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment and informing supervisor of purchases as required
- Performing inspections on the building and equipment as required
- Noting any security and safety measures that may need to be in place to supervisor
- Moving furniture, equipment and supplies
- Performing seasonal grounds maintenance as required
- Maintaining facilities, work areas, and tools in a clean, organized and safe condition

Qualifications/Skills:

- Previous maintenance experience in a commercial or residential setting is considered an asset
- Knowledge of basic maintenance equipment, tools
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between work sites
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete work orders
- Ability to use smartphones,



tablets, or computer-based maintenance management systems
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends if required

Compensation and scheduling:

- $25.19 per hour
- Part-time 24 hours per week including days, afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed
