Under direct supervision from the Patrol Supervisor and Patrol Manager, Patrollers assist in the day to day safety operations of the mountain; providing first aid for injured guests and staff, placing and maintaining all ski area and snowshoe fencing, rope lines, tower pads and signage, weather reporting, avalanche control and education, and other risk management initiatives. Opening and closing of ski runs in accordance with the Risk Management section of the Grouse Patrol S.Placing and maintaining all Ski Area and Snowshoe fencing, rope lines, tower pads, and signage. Avalanche control and education Responsible for maintaining ski area risk management strategies Occupational First Aid Level 3, BC Licensed EMR or PCP Successful candidate must complete a criminal record check once offered the position; Mountaineering,



rock climbing and/or backcountry travel experience Rope rescue or rope access experience Avalanche awareness or operations training Experience with public relations/customer service Patrollers perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all different kinds of weather conditions.

A variety of work schedules may include rotation of shifts, day/evening shifts, and weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, shoveling, and other forms of manual tasks.
