Salary: Annual fixed, with modest annual performance-related bonus Format: Full Time, permanent At Player Research we want the world to experience brilliant video games; Across the world we partner with game development teams to realise their creative visions by inviting members of the public to try out unreleased, unfinished video games and capturing their feedback. From our hub studios we design and conduct award-winning ‘user experience’ studies for video games globally. Our research projects come in all shapes and sizes, from testing user interfaces to interviewing super-fans; game console UI improvement, to toys-to-life; AAA full-playthroughs, discovery research, difficulty balancing, narrative comprehension, and so much more.

Research is an exceptional place to work & grow. We’re seeking a Participant Recruitment Coordinator to join our team in Montréal. Working alongside our team of expert Games User Researchers and Client Relationship Managers you will be responsible for finding, screening, and scheduling playtesters to take part in Games user research studies, and growing our playtester panel in the city.

Liaising with our team of Client Relationship Managers and Games User Researchers to formalise the player types that are required for playtests Creating posts and adverts for our social media accounts to promote playtests and playtesting Conducting telephone interviews with players to assess their experience with certain games and carefully assess how well their play habits fit the playtester profile specified Selecting,



scheduling and inviting players to playtests, via email and telephone Ensuring clear and consistent communication across a handful of simultaneous projects, in various stages of planning, recruitment and execution — often in partnership with our team of PRCs in Montréal and Brighton (UK) Improving our internal systems for finding and managing local players Compiling stats on our database of local playtesters, volume of sign-ups, genre and audience coverage — then building advertising and growth plans to fill any gaps Finding opportunities to help increase the size and diversity of our player database, ensuring we have access to as many players as possible, with a wide range of gaming profiles, ages, and interests Seeking new ways for us to build playtester panels in new locations – liaising with external recruiters when we need recruitment outside our database reach Improving the quality of our communications, including branding, assistance in running events, and improving internal documentation, legal and compliance processes You are a confident people-person who is comfortable talking to people of all ages, in person and over the phone You can demonstrate excellent communication skills ,



working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of every project You possess strong organisational and planning skills: You’re able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritising your time and attention where necessary You are decisive: being as proactive as possible, and reacting effectively to unexpected challenges with a cool head, delegating and collaborating with peers A knowledge of and passion for video games is highly valuable – ideally bringing a broad knowledge of as many genres and platforms as possible. Knowledge of the game development process is a benefit but not a requirement. You have first hand experience of using email mailshots and/or survey tools (Mailchimp/SurveyMonkey) and designing questionnaires or surveys Experience of using Social Media (Twitter/LinkedIn/Facebook) for advertising or B2B/B2C purposes is highly beneficial Candidates will be expected to travel bi-weekly to the downtown Montréal area to support our in-person playtesting Openness to flexible working into evenings and weekends is highly valued; this role is compatible with flexi-hours, and shifted hours to prioritise evening work (e.g. 10am -6pm).

For immediate start; In order to facilitate playtest lab-based research in the downtown area, relocation to Montréal (Canada) is required. We are pleased to offer financial and operational support for relocation within Canada. In-office time is required as part of in-person testing, training, and cooperative work.
