New or Replacement Position: Replacement Site: Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Department: Medical Oncology and Hematology Reports to: Manager, Medical Oncology and Hematology Salary: $23.14 - $28.92 per hour Permanent Full Time As a member of the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology, the Patient Flow Coordinator - Referral Office (PFC) is responsible for managing internal and incoming (external) referralsto Medical Oncology and Hematology. Working under the direction of the Manager, the PFC is responsible for the entire recent patient intake process from initial referral to the first consult. Register patients and update provider (referring, primary care)



information in the electronic patient record Organize referral documents and communicate with triaging physicians Coordinatethe scheduling of patient appointments including pulling patient clinic listsand reviewing booking calendars Answering patient queries and handling busy telephone activities Communicateeffectively in person or by telephone with internal and external parties Completion of Medical Office Administration Program Completion of Medical Terminology Course(s) is an asset Minimum of one (1) year related work experience - required Previous experience working in a Health care environment - preferred Previous experience working with the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) or Pathways Healthcare Scheduling (PHS) - preferred Working knowledge of computer software applications preferably in a Microsoft Office environment Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive patient data and information In addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
