We are seeking a People Advisor, Americas to support the day‑to‑day operations of the People Business Partnering Team across the United States and Canada, with a particular focus on strengthening and standardizing people processes for our Canada‑based employees, including Quebec. This full‑time role is ideal for someone early in their People career who enjoys delivering excellent employee service and supporting key People processes across the employee lifecycle. This individual will be expected to commute three days per week to work in our local office.
Serve as a first point of contact for routine People Team questions, helping employees navigate policies, processes, systems, and forms. Coordinate pre‑employment onboarding activities, including offer letter administration, background check coordination, onboarding documentation, new hire communications and orientation, and People system updates, and collaborating with local contacts supporting onsite/team orientation. Prepare and maintain standard employee reports, workforce metrics, and data audits to support operational reporting and People Team decision‑making.
Support employee engagement programs and initiatives, including communications, events, surveys, and recognition activities. Support recurring People Team activities such as reporting, data audits, employee communications,
policy acknowledgements, and compliance tracking. Support the documentation and maintenance of People processes, templates, checklists, and guidance materials.
Provide ad hoc support to our global people team where French translation may be needed.
Support People Business
Partners with administrative and operational activities that contribute to positive employee experience. Support the administration and tracking of Canada‑specific leaves, accommodations, sick time, wage/hour documentation, and related employee communications, in partnership with People leadership and external advisors as needed. Serve as a key coordinator for Canadian HR administration processes, supporting employee populations across Canada, including Quebec.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. ~2+ years of experience in human resources, employee services, recruitment coordination, administration, or a related role. ~ Must be fluent in French and English: reading, writing, speaking. ~ General knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR practices, including familiarity with employment standards and leave requirements. ~ Excellent customer service skills and strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues, gather information, and support timely resolution. ~ Familiarity with Workday, Paylocity,
or other HRIS platforms. Understanding of basic project management principles, including planning, coordination, organization, and follow‑through. HR certification (CPHR, CRHA, CHRP) or course relevant accredited coursework is an asset.
Compensation: HKA offers an annual salary range for this opportunity between CAD 70,000 and 90,000 depending on evaluation of transferable skills, qualifications and experience.
