As a member of the Evolve Counselling Team, this position provides individual and group counselling to individuals who have experienced domestic abuse or intimate partner violence in an intimate relationship. Services are delivered through an empowerment based, trauma-informed lens, and within the broader context of the social determinants of health. Undergraduate degree in the social sciences, graduate degree preferred Minimum two years supervised in-person counselling experience Experience providing psycho-educational and/or therapeutic group counselling Comprehensive knowledge of intimate partner violence and experience counselling people who behave abusively in intimate relationships Familiarity with brief treatment therapy models Thorough knowledge and clinical experience related to risk assessment, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, suicide loss,



mental health and substance use and addiction Understanding of the role of skilled self-reflection in the counselling process Awareness of and sensitivity to issues of diversity Provide individual and group counselling with people who have experienced intimate partner violence Work in close collaboration with Evolve counsellors providing services to families as well as counsellors supporting individuals who have used abusive behaviour in their intimate relationships.

Facilitate public education training on the dynamics and impacts of intimate partner violence Liaise with community resources and service organization Adhere to all agency policies, protocols and best practices Participate in training offered elsewhere and by Klinic in order to maintain and improve quality of service Participate in program planning, evaluation and quality monitoring including completion of statistical data 43.079 per hour - $52.992 per hour We welcome and encourage persons who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve to apply, those who identify as Indigenous, Black, Persons of Colour, 2SLBGTQQIA+, and / or those living with disabilities.
