The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury’s Leisure Centre includes two NHL sized ice rinks, a gymnasium, community program rooms, fitness centre and a state of the art aquatics centre with an eight lane competitive/lap pool, leisure pool with aquatic features and a relaxation/therapy pool. The Recreation & Client Services division is looking for an energetic, highly motivated and organized individual to join the Fitness team. Reporting to the Fitness Supervisor the Fitness Instructor provides direct leadership to maintain group fitness class continuity and provides a superior experience to our members in program areas.

Ensuring that group fitness equipment is cleaned after each class Significant working knowledge and experience in the delivery of fitness classes both in group and individual setting. Additional certifications in specialized training considered an asset (Step, Muscle Conditioning, HIIT, Bootcamp, Aerobics or other) Formal academic training in Recreation Leadership, Kinesiology, Physical Education or a related field is considered an asset.



Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills and the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, guests, staff and volunteers.

Ability to promote a culture of inclusiveness and work with a diverse population of employees and the general public. Available to work flexible hours including days, evenings and weekends as part of their regular schedule or to attend meetings, and/or special events and be comfortable teaching outdoor classes. Ability to obtain a criminal record vulnerable sector check upon hire This position offers an hourly wage of $28.88 to $35.11.
