Our Community Support

Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible. Known internally as Support Service Attendant, we have 2 new opportunities for Part-Time Personal Support Workers in our South region - St.

Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This compensation is inclusive of a $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients. The wage enhancement does not apply to training and paid leave.

Assist service users/clients in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and with March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures: Personal care Rising/retiring Other light housekeeping duties Perform duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains consumer and staff health and safety.

The Support Services

Attendants will be required to work multiple shifts (i.e. workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays) that vary between locations through the Niagara Region. High School graduate or equivalent Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults,



or as an informal caregiver considered an asset but not required Knowledge of and abilities in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines and other attendant care duties Physical Demands Self Analysis Required upon hire Ability to work adaptable and regularly scheduled hours Contributing to our important mission: creating real change for people with disabilities.
