About the Role

Our client is seeking a community-focused and customer-oriented Retail Pharmacist to manage and operate their pharmacy branch in Kimberley. You will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care within the Northern Cape community. You will be a trusted healthcare professional, playing a key role in medication management and patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, verifying dosages and ensuring patient safety.
- Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and health management.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, order medications, and manage stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Build strong relationships with physicians,



other healthcare professionals, and customers.
- Oversee and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.

Requirements

- B.Pharm degree or equivalent qualification and registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Retail Pharmacist.
- Proficiency in dispensing software and pharmacy management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic uses, and potential drug interactions.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities and experience in managing a pharmacy team.
