Emerging Scholars Council in Manchester invites applications for a four-year PhD project in Biocatalysis and Bioorganic Chemistry, fully funded with a tax-free stipend at UKRI rate (£21,805 for 2026/27). Start date October 2026.
The project aims to extend biocatalytic routes to synthesize complex azabicyclics and spiropiperidines using enzyme catalysts. Candidates should have a solid chemistry background with a 2.1 honours or MSc, and an interest in multidisciplinary synthetic and bioorganic
