Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physical Therapist - Degree Senior $43.402 to $53.195

: Under the direction of the Manager, the Physical Therapist – Degree – Senior is responsible for developing and maintaining a high standard of physical therapy care in assigned areas.

The Physical

Therapist- Degree - Senior is responsible for ensuring students assigned receive clinical education of a high standard.

The Physical

Therapist – Degree - Senior will be responsible for a clinical caseload and providing high quality direct care to patients.. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience relevant to the required work and clinical area as determined by the Employer
- Experience in the area of Lymphedema work is an asset.
- Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) training is an asset

Education

- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Licenses

- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

- Requires concentration and attention for patient assessment, treatment, teaching and report writing.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, communicate and coordinate care with other health care team members and adapt to changing conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and all members of the health care team.
- Ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach.
- Knowledge of Acute Therapy Services.
- Familiarity with equipment requisitioning processes via SAC, SAIL, NIHB, private vendors and community services groups.
- Knowledge of determinants of well-being.
- Demonstrates value and appreciation of distinct qualities of others.
- Requires coping skills to work with patients dealing with stress, role loss and other psychosocial issues.
- Demonstrated skills in mentoring, training and clinically supervising staff, students and related disciplines.

Other Information

- CPR certification Level “C” required.
- May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT)
