We are currently seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Plant Protection Supervisor.

This is a full-time max-term position is based at our Touquoy mine site located approximately 1-hour northeast of Halifax, near Middle Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia. Currently, the operation is restarting Mill Operations.

Our Plant Protection Supervisor will join a dedicated and professional team, and will need to support a newly hired/ returning workforce. Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, your role will be responsible for supervising all security team members and overseeing the day to day operations of the security team ensuring that mine employees and mine properties are safe and secure.

The Plant Protection

Supervisor oversees training of the security team as well as site induction, the updating of security protocols and SOP’s, security badges, and the drug and alcohol collection process.

The Opportunity

- Supervise, coach, mentor, and support Plant Protection Officers in day-to-day security operations.
- Develop, implement, review, and improve site security policies, procedures, protocols, and SOPs.
- Support threat and risk assessments and help identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Oversee security requirements for controlled areas, including the mill,



gravity recovery circuit, gold room, and physical gold management.
- Ensure product shipments comply with established security policies and protocols.
- Audit and review security processes, incident reports, logs, and documentation to meet company, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Manage site access control processes, including visitor sign-in, contractor access, badge issuance, access permissions, and controlled-area verification.
- Coordinate security team scheduling, resources, equipment, consumables, vehicles, and emergency communication equipment.
- Ensure security monitoring systems, including CCTV and related equipment, are installed, tested, maintained, and used effectively.
- Provide operational support during emergencies, major incidents, investigations, and first aid situations as required.
- Maintain incident reporting records and supervise drug and alcohol collection processes as directed.
- Promote protected work practices, ensure team compliance with company policies, safety expectations, training requirements, and Nova Scotia Private Guard licensing obligations.

Our successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

- Ability to pass a background check + medical




- Must hold a valid Nova Scotia driver’s license (or recognized equivalent) with no restrictions or suspensions and have an insurable driving record.
- Able to safely operate light duty truck on and off road.
- Certified in First Aid/CPR (intermediate Level)
- Must be eligible to obtain a Nova Scotia Private Guard License (Employment is conditional upon the successful processing and issuance of this license via company sponsorship).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar leadership role.
- Must maintain clean criminal record status throughout employment
- High School Diploma/GED/ Education in Security related field is considered an asset.
- Familiar with applicable health & safety legislation (eg. WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety)
