Posted on: 6/5/2026 - Application Deadline: 6/30/2026 The Constable is responsible for being the customer contact for all policing and security needs. The position requires responding to emergency calls while working irregular schedules including days, nights, weekends and holidays to protect a 24/7 operation. Develop working partnerships with municipal, provincial and federal police officials, major industries and local businesses that affect CN Identify high-risk locations and develop subsequent action plans to secure and prevent losses Perform the investigation and prosecution of all criminal and penal incidents and participate actively in the enforcement and promotion of federal and provincial laws dealing with railway safety Participate in regular public speaking Frequent travel over a large geographical area Available to work shifts, weekends,
and holidays when necessary Accredited law enforcement program or equivalent Demonstrates positive teamwork and maintains positive interactions with other departments and local law enforcement agencies cooperating in matters of mutual concern Fluency in oral and written English is mandatory, knowledge of French is considered an asset Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset Training The incumbent receives on‑the‑job training with a Coach Officer.
Successful candidates that do not hold a certificate from an accredited police college will be required to successfully complete a basic police training program of up to six months at a recognized police academy.
