Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Power Systems Engineer. This is a hybrid position that is based at our Kitchener, ON or Milton, ON office, requires 10% travel and offers perks on day one. The Power Systems
Engineer provides applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, protection & control, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair and training.
Project
Management - Self-management of assigned projects and job cost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates.
Engineering
Assignments - Performs engineering assignments that may involve power systems analysis, power quality measurements and audits, consulting and design services, troubleshooting, and problem solving relative to power distribution equipment.
Power
Analysis - Focus on short circuit, coordination, arc flash,
load flow and power quality analysis.
Technical
Proposals - Interpret specifications and customer inquiries; design technical proposals and pricing for customers. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of one (1) year experience in engineering or the electrical field.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Minimum of two (2) year experience in power systems engineering. Minimum of one (1) year experience in the use of SKM, PTW, ETAP, EDSA, CYME, or EasyPower software preferred.
Effective time management, prioritization, and project management enable you to deliver results efficiently. Additionally, your knowledge of safety precautions when working with electrical and electronic equipment, along with a solid understanding of both your company’s and competitors’ electrical distribution and mechanical products, gives you the technical foundation to perform at a high level and add value to the organization.
