Title: Process Engineer Immediate Supervisor: Manufacturing Manager Position Purpose: Are you an engineer who loves solving problems, improving processes, and turning data into results? IPG is looking for a Process Engineer to lead impactful projects that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance. Develop and conduct employee training sessions as needed for new equipment and processes.
Develops and implements production methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost- efficient manner. Recommend equipment and processes for manufacture of new products. . Investigate and provide remedies for manufacturing process problems.
As required, establish working relationships with outside personnel to meet project objectives. Knowledgeable of current products, processes, equipment, and procedures to apply to design and equipment analysis. Maintain detailed records and orderly files on all assigned projects.
Evaluate environmental compliance projects as they relate to the process function.
Reviews proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production/processing equipment. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering. ~3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field. ~ Solid data analytic skills. ~ Strong interest and support of continuous improvement processes and lean manufacturing initiatives. ~ Mechanical and electrical knowledge. ~ High level of computer literacy, specifically MS Office. ~ Recommended experience with advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, IIOT or advanced process control. ~ Recommended knowledge in the Toyota Production System ~ Whether it is through cross-department collaboration, continuous training, or sustainability-driven initiatives, we create an environment where you can thrive.
