Venor is proud to partner with Arbec in their search for a Process Engineer to join their team in Miramichi, NB Arbec is a manufacturing-driven organization committed to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven Process Engineer to play a key role in shaping the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of manufacturing and assembly processes.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a continuous improvement mindset to help drive process excellence across internal operations and the broader supplier network.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead the creation and updating of Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans, collaborating with suppliers as needed.
- Create, or supervise the creation of, assembly/process flow charts, work instructions (SOPs), and control plans for manufacturing and rework activities.
- Ensure assembly processes align with lean manufacturing principles, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, and poka-yoke.
- Execute RCFAs and implement action plan to mitigate the cause.
- Support the quality department in evaluating and qualifying current suppliers based on mill needs.
- Provide manufacturing estimates (tooling, assembly, and test equipment) for customer quotations.




- Conduct workflow analysis and recommend improvements to material handling and shop layout.
- Establish and maintain work standards to support cost reduction and efficiency.
- Create and rollout Change Management related to manufacturing process improvements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

What We Are Looking For

- Engineering degree (Mechanical or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within a high-volume manufacturing workplace.
- Proven experience leading projects from launch through full production.
- Strong expertise in PFMEA, RCFA and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Experience in product development from design through manufacturing launch (DFM/A).
- Knowledge of ISO9000 standards.
- Hands-on experience with PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Control Plans, and Process Flow documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations.
- Strong analytical skills geared toward process improvement.
- Keen attention to quality and consistency.
- Excellent planning, organizational, decision-making, and judgment skills.
