This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are available to support our customers while driving improvements in cost, supplier performance, and inventory management. If you enjoy building supplier relationships, negotiating agreements, solving supply chain challenges,
and leading continuous improvement initiatives, we'd love to hear from you! This role reports to the site Operations Manager and will be directly responsible for leading a critical function that directly impacts business performance.
This is an opportunity to influence, drive and own supplier strategy and supply chain improvement initiatives across a global organization and at scale. Lead all purchasing and sourcing activities to support manufacturing operations. Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.
Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and contract negotiations. Optimize inventory levels while maintaining strong customer service performance. Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions when required.
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service teams to ensure material availability. Analyze purchasing and planning processes and implement continuous improvements. Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing activities, inventory planning, and supplier performance.
Support forecasting, demand planning, and capacity planning activities, Identify and mitigate supply chain risks. Lead and mentor purchasing team members while fostering accountability and teamwork. Minimum 5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing workplace Previous experience in a senior buyer, purchasing manager,
or supply chain leadership role Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Experience in electronics manufacturing or industrial instrumentation is considered an asset APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or related certification is considered an asset Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field is preferred Personal Attributes: Customer first attitude.

The compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 CAD per year ,depending on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location. In addition to base compensation, this role includes a comprehensive benefit package which may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits. This process does not use artificial intelligence to screen, assess or select applicants.
