Are you looking to be part of a growing and developing team in an organization that values its people, customers, work, and supply chain? If so, APEX is currently accepting applications for a Production Process Planner within its Aerospace Component Manufacturing Group . This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Planning and Programming Supervisor.

The primary role of this position is to create and maintain process routings based on engineering specifications to instruct the various departments of the business unit.

The Production Process

Planner is also responsible for ensuring that all materials required for manufacturing are requisitioned to the purchasing department. Planners interact on a regular basis with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Methods, Quality and Procurement. Some weekend work or overtime may be required, and training will be provided. Ensure jobs are planned on time to customer order requirements, such as proper revision requirements.

Review First

Article jobs and create first article inspection plans. Requisition materials and hardware required to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained. Utilize APEXMRP system to launch jobs and requisitions materials.



Provide technical support to the various departments in the group. Read and interpret customer/industry drawings and specifications. Control of drawings and specifications on APEX's server and within APEX's ERP system.

Experience in a machine shop/manufacturing environment would be considered an asset. ~ Mechanical Engineering Technologist ~- Industrial Engineering Technologist ~- Equivalent work experience in manufacturing or in the Aerospace Industry ~ Training to be provided for planning function. ~ Very comfortable using computers and MS Word/Excel and Power Point. ~ Knowledgeable about manufacturing principles and concepts. ~ Ability to participate in continuous process improvement and is open to change. ~ Ability to use or learn to use 3D CAD software (i.e. Catia, Solid Works, Auto Cad etc.).
