Support vital health services at Campbell River Public Health as a Program Assistant. This role involves administrative tasks and hearing screenings for children in school and clinic settings.
The Program
Assistant role provides essential clerical and administrative support to the Preventative and Perinatal Services Program. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will maintain supply inventories, schedule appointments, and conduct vision and hearing screenings for preschool and school-aged children. Your work helps to ensure optimal patient care and safety in collaboration with families and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventories of medical supplies and equipment
- Schedule and conduct vision and hearing screenings
- Gather and manage client information effectively
- Collaborate with internal and external partners
- Follow protocols for newborn hearing screening
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education and Medical Office Assistant Certificate
- Two years related administrative experience
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
