Position Title: Program Coordinator – Vision Mates and Peer Support (Northern AB) Reports To: Senior Manager, Programs and Operations This position will deliver and sustain high quality Vision Mates and Peer Mentorship services in Northern Alberta by recruiting and supervising volunteers for these programs, coordinating peer groups and matches, maintaining Salesforce records for program activity, and ensuring excellent participant experience. Volunteer recruitment and frontline supervision - recruit, screen, onboard, train, and supervise volunteers for Vision Mates and Peer Mentorship in Northern AB. Program delivery - schedule, facilitate, and support peer groups and Vision Mates matches; ensure participant follow up and quality of experience. develops and implements current programs as required by National/Regional directives or participant needs Data entry and local reporting - maintain Salesforce records for program activity; produce timely local program summaries and contribute to funder reporting when necessary.

Local logistics - coordinates venue bookings for support groups, materials, and travel for local activities. Collaboration - work with Mobile Hub, Accessible Technology Coaches, Children and Youth and the Senior Manager,



Programs and Operations Manager to align processes and share best practices. Proven time management, planning, coordinating and organization skills.

Excellent relationship/team builder and networking skills with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications Excellent organizational and planning skills to work to concurrent and/or conflicting deadlines Proven time management, planning, coordinating and organization skills; proactive in initiating multiple projects on an ongoing basis Professional attitude, results oriented, strategic and flexible Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field ~Ability to travel and work independently. ~ Experience with peer support or mentorship programs an asset. ~ Volunteer Management Certificate from accredited program would be an asset ~ Personal or professional experience relating to blindness or sight loss is considered an asset ~ Willingness to work flexible hours (including occasional evenings and weekends) to support program delivery as needed.
