Job Category: Banking and Financial Services We are looking for a strategically-minded and energetic Program Manager to join the bank.

The Program

Manager leads a team of people alongside assigned programs and projects to achieve desired outcomes in support of realising the Corporate Strategy. They reduce the risk of unintended consequences emerging during and after the delivery while optimising the deployment of resources (time, people, money and expertise) towards assigned programs and projects. This role can be based out of either the Head Office in Sydney (Mascot with relocation to the CBD in November) or Melbourne (Collingwood) or in Brisbane; however, some travel between these locations will be required.

We have big plans to become Australia’s leading purpose-driven bank. As a certified B Corp, we’re part of a global business community who meet the highest social and environmental standards, balancing profit and purpose. Every role and person in our bank is essential to bringing our values, purpose and aspiration to life.

We offer flexible working options, 14% super and a bonus leave scheme. We also support staff with study assistance, paid parental leave (regardless of gender), volunteer, bereavement, gender affirmation and family violence leave; and the chance for bonus annual leave. Lead and mentor your team of EPMO Project Managers and oversee their delivery efforts.

Program and project manage assigned strategic activity and own other assigned work end-to-end to achieve timely outcomes and KPIs involving people, systems, processes, third parties and the customer.

Earn and maintain a reputation for being a trusted partner in program and project management of strategic activity. Provide early warning of emerging risks or issues threatening the Critical Path, budget, benefit case or intended scope/quality of outcomes for the initiatives you are responsible for and with an appreciation for their impact on the Bank’s broader Strategic Project Portfolio.

Provide clear, meaningful, transparent, accurate and timely status reporting and line-of-sight over the health, budget performance, benefit realisation and progress of assigned programs and projects while ensuring that Sponsors, Business Owners, stakeholders and the EPMO feel well informed. Bring affected people on any change journey you are driving while consulting with the Bank’s Change Management Team and being sensitive to a person’s ability to handle the pace and volume of change.
