About the position:

As a leader of a team of supervisors, direct service and volunteers, you contribute to the success of the organization by providing a full range of expert knowledge and skills to the programs under your span of supervision. Reporting to the Director of Services, the focus of the role is to ensure that the organization fully meets the needs of its service participants and funders while ensuring that McMan's values are maintained, agency policies and procedures and Code of Ethics are followed, and the programs operate on a solid financial basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Through the supervision and support of Program Supervisors, Team Leads and staff, the Programs Manager will ensure that program practice is in full compliance with contractual, policy and procedural requirements.
- Ensure programs are aligning with accreditation standards, licensing requirements, and legislation including OHS, AB Employment Standards and AB Human Rights.




- Provide ongoing support, coaching and problem solving to all personnel under your span of supervision.
- Oversee funder reporting and submission of reports to ensure accountability to funder mandate and contractual obligations.
- Track and analyse program outcomes, ensuring that services meet existing needs, changing needs and are responsive to possible future needs.
- Create and maintain collaborative and responsive relationships, internally and externally, that enhance effective teamwork and strong networks.

Qualifications

- Degree/diploma in Social Sciences, Human Services field or equivalent; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Three years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and supervise creative support programs.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable government systems – Children and Family Services, Seniors, Community and Social Services, Recovery Alberta, etc.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, communication and administrative skills.
- Demonstrate professionalism within all aspects of employment, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Microsoft Office abilities (SharePoint, One Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate or CSA Standard Z1210-17 Intermediate First Aid Certificate
- Clear Child Intervention Record Check, dated within the past six months
- Clear Police Information Check with vulnerable sector, dated within past six months.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, 3-year non-commercial Driver’s Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance.
