Program Supervisor – Excel Discovery 1.0 FTE permanent Enviros is an cutting-edge social services agency that provides critical, individualized programs to children, youth, adults, and families in vulnerable situations to meet their desired outcomes and wellness. Stated, our vision is, “Reimagined lives, fulfilling potential and thriving in community.” The Program – ExCel Discovery Enviros ExCel Discovery is an Open Custody program in the province of Alberta and has six (6) spaces for youth who have an open custody sentence. The program is designed to meet the needs of adolescent young offenders who have been sentenced to complete a portion of their custodial time in the community. ExCel Discovery is the only Open Custody group home in the province of Alberta.

ExCel Discovery offers an integrated treatment setting with enhanced programming in the areas of addictions, education, mental health and reintegration.



The overall goal of the program is to support young offenders in successfully transitioning from being in secure custody, to life in the community. This position will be based at ExCel Discovery and will include direct involvement and support of the program, staff team, youth, and community partners.

This position will be part of the Enviros leadership team and will ensure that day-to-day operations follow program protocols and Enviros policy. Completion and overseeing of documentation and case management Supports group care on-call on a rotational basis Provide regular supervision of staff members Recruitment, staff performance evaluations and staff training as required by CAC guidelines and ensure all staff training are current Oversee household health and safety standards and overall housekeeping duties Subject matter expert on child and youth care programs Able to provide effective feedback and supervision to staff Post-secondary education in a Human Services related field Experience working with youth affected by trauma Experience/ Knowledge of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is considered an asset Valid Class 5 driver’s license ( Class 5 GDL will not be accepted) Child Intervention Check (within six (6) months) Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) Enviros will accept IRCs and Criminal Record Checks with VSC that are no more than six (6) months old at the time of hire.
