Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting Services, the Corporate Accounting Analyst will be primarily responsible for application of cash receipt to accounts receivable, as well as preparation of general ledger account reconciliations under different timelines.
This position will also help with the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes. Process and apply cash receipts to customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring the integrity of accounts receivable records. Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and working papers for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements. Prepare routine journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls. Support system compliance and testing activities, including documentation, validation, and issue follow-up as required.
Undergraduate degree or Diploma in Business,
Accounting or a combination of equivalent skills and experience.
Experience processing cash receipts application amongst multiple entities, considered an asset. Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across various departments and stakeholders.
