As part of an alliance agreement, Aecon has been awarded a contract in an Aecon-led partnership with Kiewit Nuclear Canada by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for the execution phase on the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025 Aecon will support the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.

The Project Controls

Coordinator will report directly to the Project Controls Manager. This role will be responsible for providing Project Controls guidance and support to DNNP. Provide support in developing, establishing, and maintaining the company's project cost/control systems.

Provide support in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and project baseline. Assist the project team in converting project bids to setting up the complete, accurate project baseline (budget, schedule). Assist with the set-up of project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit).

Assist in ensuring all the contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up,



project tracking and reporting, and project closeout. Assist in monitoring project performance and ensure that the project control system is properly implemented. Generate all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.).

Assist in the review and analysis of the project schedule and cost reports and suggest corrective actions to maintain the project within anticipated cost and schedule. Assist with the implementation of the change management procedures ensuring compliance with contract conditions and Aecon's standards. Provide support to the project team in budget and forecast management during execution to accurately reflect project status. 3 years of related project controls construction experience. ~ College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience. ~ Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high‑pressure work site environment. ~ Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees. ~ Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge. ~ Detail oriented, organizational and time management skills. ~ Replacement Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
