Could you be the full-time Senior Project Controller, in St-Bruno-de-Montarville on the South Shore of Montreal, we’re looking for? This position requires an on-site presence three days per week. To make your life easier, shuttle services are available between Montreal and the St-Bruno site!
Take on a new challenge and apply your financial expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates, driving financial success in high-criticality projects. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of our projects, providing strategic guidance and actionable insights to the project team.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Project Management, Contract Management, and Operations Finance), monitor financial performance, and support negotiation processes to secure project success. You’ll specifically take care of optimizing financial strategies and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, but also support risk management and decision-making processes. Leading financial aspects of high-criticality projects to improve overall performance.
Partnering with the Project Manager to drive financial strategy and decision-making. Optimizing financial elements such as organization, tax, hedging, and financing. Providing financial analysis, advice, and guidance to project teams.
Monitoring and improving contract margins, cash flow,
and working capital optimization. Managing costs, revenue, and profitability while preparing accurate financial forecasts. Supporting claim management and negotiations with a focus on financial terms and risk mitigation.
Coaching junior Finance Project Managers to build their skills and capabilities. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Finance Project Manager or in a similar role.
Knowledge of industrial environments;
experience in industrial controlling is a plus. Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of SAP is an advantage. Fluency in French and English is required; knowledge of an additional language is an asset.
Experience in auditing or project operations is an advantage.
