Do you appreciate working with others and building on mutual successes? We are actively seeking an experienced Project Engineer that can be based in either our Halton, Toronto, or Barrie offices. The successful applicant will work with the transportation and electrical groups to prepare designs for traffic signals, roadway lighting, and associated civil works for projects primarily throughout Ontario.
Deliver engineering and design services for electrical systems on small to large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary transportation projects for public and private sector clients, including roadway lighting, traffic signals, and joint utility trench systems. Prepare schematic and detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates. Provide technical and administrative support throughout all project phases, from proposal development to construction completion.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams (engineers, architects, designers, and project managers) to support design development and project delivery. Conduct lighting analysis using AGi32 and support the preparation of contract documents and post‑construction record drawings. Perform periodic field visits to review existing conditions, assess conflicts, support construction activities, and participate in commissioning and site inspections.
Support and mentor junior staff and contribute to the overall growth of the Transportation – Electrical group. Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering with a focus on roadway lighting and traffic signal design. TAC, ESA, IMSA, AODA, RP‑8, Ontario Traffic Manuals, OPSS, Highway Traffic Act, PHM‑125 Legal Plans).
Proficiency in AGi32 and AutoCAD;
experience with MicroStation, AutoTurn, and SPIDAcalc is an asset. Ability to calculate tender quantities and prepare construction cost estimates. Familiarity with Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) and municipal project requirements.
Valid Ontario
