Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Property Manager role based in Toronto, ON, with some work-from-home flexibility.
The Property
Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of a portfolio of commercial and residential properties, including coordinating maintenance, managing vendors, and ensuring properties are safe, clean, and compliant with regulations.
Responsibilities include handling tenant inquiries, addressing service requests, managing lease administration, monitoring rent collections, and supporting budgeting and expense control. The role involves conducting property inspections, preparing reports on occupancy and performance, and collaborating with brokerage and ownership teams to support leasing, renewals, and tenant satisfaction.
The Property
Manager will also help identify opportunities to improve building operations, enhance resident and tenant experience, and protect asset value.
Qualifications
- Experience in property management or real estate operations, with skills in tenant relations, lease administration, and vendor coordination.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple properties, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial acumen, including basic budgeting, rent and expense tracking, and familiarity with property management software or CRM tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with tenants, owners, contractors, and internal teams in a skilled manner.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with sound judgment when responding to maintenance issues, complaints, and emergencies.
- Working knowledge of local housing, building, and safety regulations; experience with commercial and residential properties is an asset.
- Ability to work both on-site in Toronto, ON and remotely, with a high degree of reliability, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Post-secondary education in real estate, business, property management, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., property management designation) are considered an asset.
