The Municipality of Port Hope is inviting community-minded residents to apply to serve on local boards and quasi-judicial committees for the 2026–2030 term.

Local boards and quasi-judicial committees play an important role in supporting transparent, informed, and community-focused decision-making. Participation provides residents with an prospect to share their skills, experience, and perspectives while helping guide the future direction of our community.

Renumeration

Members appointed to the Property Standards Appeal Committee receive annual remuneration of $400.

About The Property Standards Appeal Committee hears and makes decisions on appeals related to Property Standards Orders. The Property Standards Appeal Committee also serves as the Animal Services Appeal Body, if needed, and hears and makes decisions on appeals related to orders to restrain. For more information, review the Property Standards By-law 67-2024 and Animal Control By-law 60-2022.
