Position: Registered Nurse – Psychiatric Care

Salary: $36.05 – $45.67 per hour

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: Rotational shifts (8 or 12 hours; flexibility required to meet operational needs)

About the Role

We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, patient‑centred psychiatric care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role involves delivering total nursing care tailored to individual patient needs while contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide holistic nursing care to support the physical and mental well‑being of patients.
- Actively participate in patient safety and quality improvement programs.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to plan and evaluate care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional standards of practice.

Requirements

- Current registration with the New Brunswick Nurses Association (NANB) .




- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completion of (or commitment to complete):
- Prevention and Management of Suicidal Behaviour in a Psychiatric Hospital Setting course.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) – Advanced Physical Skills training (Practical Component).

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis management skills.
