- Guide feedback loops with nanofabrication, hardware, software, and modelling teams
- Collect high-quality data efficiently to answer fundamental technical questions and improve performance metrics
- Create multiple backup plans and alternative paths to success
- Synthesize data and models into actionable system requirements
- Make technical decisions quickly while maintaining broader system context
- Collaborate with product engineering teams spanning device physics, classical computer architecture, and compilers
- Drive T centre qubits to the highest possible quality at scale
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Experimental Quantum Information, Physics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience in academia or industry
- Exceptional experimental & technical instincts and judgement
- Deep familiarity with one or more quantum computing platforms, such as ion traps, neutral atoms, defect centres, solid-state spins, or superconducting qubits
- Experience driving multi-qubit systems at high fidelity
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations in rapidly changing R&D; workplace
- Demonstrated ability to creatively solve engineering and physics problems
- Outstanding teamwork skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in the Greater Vancouver Area
- Eligible for work permit sponsorship and relocation support
