Work Status: Part-Time (20-30 hours per week)

Location: Winnipeg, MB (Onsite) About the Role: 680 CJOB has an exciting prospect for a part-time Radio Technical Producer to join their team, based out of Winnipeg. Reporting to Manager of Talk and Talent, the successful candidate would be responsible for the operation of 680 CJOB programming, including the production of live and recorded daily talk shows and features, paid programming, podcasting and some audio production. This role requires working a variety of shifts, including early mornings, weekdays, evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

You will contribute by: Operating the master control board, WideOrbit Automation, and Burli during live, local talk shows, including controlling mic levels, phone calls, imaging elements, commercials, and all other audio sources during the course of a show.

Setting up the studio and preparing log for broadcast using WideOrbit Automation.

Collaborating with show producer and host for content.

Sourcing and preparing compelling relevant audio for the show to use.

Sourcing and booking guests Collaborating with other producers on story development and dialogue.





Collaborating with the newsroom on breaking news execution.

Editing and uploading show audio, features and other programming as needed.

Assisting the Production Department with features and production elements.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience you will bring: Post-secondary education in radio broadcasting or a related field (graduated or currently enrolled).

Intermediate to advanced digital audio editing skills.

Familiarity with the news talk radio format and a desire to work in the radio broadcasting industry.

Knowledge of WideOrbit Automation, Music Master, iMediaTouch, Burli, Adobe Audition, and Avid Pro Tools.

The ability to anticipate and quickly react to an on-air situation.

A creative thinker who enhances on-air programming with appropriate music and sound effects in a timely manner.

Above average computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

The ability to multitask, communicate, stay calm and trouble shoot in high pressure & evolving situations.

Friendly positive attitude.

Intermediate math skills.

A flexible schedule.

Driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract required.
