Balto Capital is looking for outgoing, reliable students to join our leasing team in Edmonton.

This is a flexible, part-time prospect that’s ideal for someone looking to earn extra income while gaining hands-on experience in real estate, leasing, sales, and property management.

How it works

Our leasing team handles the marketing: we post available units online, generate leads, and schedule interested prospects for viewings.

You take it from there. You’ll:

- Meet prospective tenants at our properties and show available units
- Drive between buildings in our Edmonton portfolio
- Answer questions and help prospects find the right unit
- Follow up with interested prospects after viewings
- Send leases for electronic signature and follow up to make sure they’re completed
- Keep track of your prospects and leasing activity
- Provide a friendly, professional experience from viewing through signed lease

Compensation

This is a 100% commission-based role. You’ll earn 25% of one month’s rent for every lease you close. Potential to earn $2,000–$6,000+ per month depending on availability and leases closed.

Schedule

This role offers a high degree of flexibility and autonomy.



You’ll manage your own schedule based on your availability and the viewings booked for you by our leasing team.

While there are no fixed shifts, prospective tenants are often most available for viewings Monday-Friday afternoons and evenings, or throughout the day on weekends, so these tend to be the busiest times.

What we’re looking for

- A student looking for flexible, part-time work
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a car
- Strong communication and people skills
- Organized and dependable, with good follow-through
- Comfortable meeting new people and conducting viewings independently
- Responsive by phone/text and able to keep on top of multiple prospects
- Sales, customer service, hospitality, or real estate experience is an asset, but not required
