Unit Summary The
Neuro-step down unit at Trillium Health Partners is part of a high-volume Regional Neuroscience program, delivering advanced Neurosurgical care in close collaboration with our regional partners. Our 12-bed specialty Neurosurgical ICU cares for patients requiring complex Neurosurgery, including Cranial surgeries, Endovascular treatments of Ruptured Aneurysm and AVMs and Endovascular Treatment of Ischemic Strokes. 5J Neuro-step down offers a fast-paced, highly specialized clinical environment where nurses and interprofessional team members work at the forefront of Neurosurgical critical care. Team members gain exposure to high-acuity patients, cutting-edge surgical interventions, and the chance to develop deep expertise within a supportive, collaborative, and learning-focused unit at a busy regional referral centre.
Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or currently meet the eligibility criteria to register in positive standing in the Temporary Class or General Class with the CNO Currently enrolled and have already commenced a recognized Critical Care Certificate Program Current Coronary Care Level 1 Certificate Preferred or within 6 months Recent experience and exposure in Intensive Care nursing preferred Demonstrated ability to think critically and effectively in order to prioritize needs in emergency situations Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and commitment to customer service and teamwork Experienced in patient education and sharing knowledge of expected outcomes and care To pursue this career opportunity, please visit our website: Where these factors are relatively equal seniority shall govern providing the successful applicant.
