Testing may be required. *A criminal record check may be required Summary Join a dedicated team providing compassionate, top-notch care to residents in our long-term care homes as a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse. As an RN/RPN in LTC, you will develop individualized care plans, supervise care staff, and collaborate with physicians and families to ensure the highest quality of life for residents. Minimum
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio Minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPR) set the minimum number of nurses required to safely care for patients on a given unit. Developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the BC Nurses' Union (BCNU), and health organizations across British Columbia, mNPR provides a consistent and transparent approach to staffing that supports safe nursing practice and high-quality patient care.

Education: Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to teach and identify patient/resident learning needs.

Provides safe and respectful nursing care to assigned patients/residents in accordance with policies, individualized care plans, and care priorities. Performs comprehensive assessments, monitors for abnormal signs or lab results, and collaborates with RN/RPN and interdisciplinary team for complex cases.
Communicates and implements physician orders, including transcribing and processing them accurately. Documents all care activities such as assessments, treatments, medication administration, and discharge planning in manual or electronic records. Prepares and assists with surgical/diagnostic procedures, transfers, and admissions, ensuring coordination with physicians and care team members.
Administers medications (excluding IV), monitors effects, and maintains communication with RN/RPN and team as needed.
