Our Long Term Care
Division will be opening Seaton Village, a brand new 200-bed long term care home in north Pickering in early 2027, and we are building our team from the ground up. With this expansion, we will be hiring Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), with opportunities to join the new home or grow within our existing sites. While most positions are part time, some full-time positions may also available.
Registered Practical Nurse
As a RPN, you will: Administer medications and treatments to residents Provide care and support to residents according to the care plan Work cooperatively with the other members of the care team Participate in care planning,
evaluation and documentation A current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse Previous experience in a geriatric or long term care setting is preferred Demonstrated empathy, concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents As a new employee, you must be available to work all shifts - Days, Afternoons and Nights - including 2, up to 3, weekends per month. You should also be available to pick up call-in shifts on occasion.
Registered Practical Nurse Salary Information The hourly rate range for this position is $39.72 to $40.82. All applicants are expected to comply with the Region of Durham's Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct Policies throughout the recruitment process. Finally, compliance with the Mask Fit Testing Program is required and will be coordinated as part of the orientation process. ca for assistance pursuant to the Region’s Accommodation and Accessibility policies.
