Manager - Inflight Regulatory Reporting to the Senior Manager, Standards & Cabin Safety, the Program Manager, Inflight Regulatory will be responsible to support the Transport Canada designated Flight Attendant Manager in the ongoing regulatory compliance of the Inflight Department. This includes but is not limited to select quality control activities, and creating and implementing corrective actions to mitigate causes identified through the Safety Management System and Regulatory authorities. Conduct department level quality control functions to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance on select processes and outputs, including, but not limited to, all regulated training programs, training delivery, Inflight standards, and cabin crew communications.

Based upon the results of any quality control, quality assurance, inspection or audit function, work with stakeholders to identify root causes, and then develop, implement, measure, and monitor corrective actions for effectiveness to prevent recurrence. Support the regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness of cabin crew training policies and programs, as well as Inflight standards and procedures, including the delivery and implementation of standards and training. Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance through regular reviews of changes to all requirements published by various authorities, including, but not limited to, Transport Canada, IATA, ICAO, the FAA, and EASA.





Liaise with all regulatory authorities as required, including identifying needs and opportunities for alternate means of compliance, submitting exemptions to regulatory bodies for exemption to requirements, and implementing exemptions once approved. 6-8 years’ experience with Inflight training standards, regulatory compliance and Inflight standards ~ Robust understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS) and Standards (CASS) ~ Ability or experience to interpret and discern regulations specifically to CARS and CASS ~ Ability to become WestJet Cabin Crew qualified on all applicable aircraft types ~ Ability to travel globally when required (10% travel required) ~ Intermediate level computer skills with MS Office applications requires (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc) ~ Bachelors Degree is an asset Travel privileges for you and your family, effective from your start date Savings and Benefit programs that are flexible to meet your specific needs WestJet took to the skies in 1996 with just over 200 employees and three aircraft operating service to five destinations.
