Job Summary

Dedicated Rehabilitation Assistant to support patients in regaining independence at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Port Moody, B.C. Assist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in delivering allied health care.

Responsibilities

- Carry out designated components of a rehabilitative treatment plan under PT/OT assignment
- Assist in mobility-related tasks under nursing direction
- Observe and report changes in patient function to team members
- Contribute to planning, implementation, modification, and evaluation of treatment plans
- Perform tests such as Berg Balance, Timed Up & Go, six‑minute walk test; record data




- Apply therapeutic modalities such as TENS, NMES, hot packs, ice, wax treatments
- Provide functional skills training and assist with wheelchair mobility
- Assist in fabrication and modification of splints, seating, exercise devices
- Maintain therapy equipment and supplies and suggest new purchases
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Physical ability to carry out job duties
- Solid organizational skills
- Ability to operate related equipment
