Join CHEO as a Research Occupational Therapist to support groundbreaking studies in child rehabilitation. This role involves hybrid assessments and working closely with children and families. The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute is looking for two dynamic Occupational Therapists for casual positions.
With a focus on virtual assessment and Randomized Control Trials, you will facilitate data capture through clinical assessments. There is an in office requirement for certain evaluations, emphasizing your engagement with pediatric participants. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with families to implement individualized goals
- Conduct assessments via Microsoft Teams and in-person
- Facilitate various functional movement assessments
- Collaborate with interprofessional care teams
- Document assessment outcomes and participant progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Experience with children with cerebral palsy or hemiplegia
- Proficiency in assessment tools for upper limb function
