About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Research Scientist with expertise in Genetics and Genomics to join their innovative team in Kimberley . This role is central to advancing our understanding of genetic factors influencing complex diseases and traits. You will be responsible for designing and conducting genomic studies, analyzing large-scale genetic data, and contributing to the interpretation of results. Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement genetic and genomic studies, including association studies and sequencing projects.
- Analyze large-scale genomic datasets using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.
- Interpret genetic findings and their implications for disease risk, progression, and treatment.
- Collaborate with statisticians, bioinformaticians, and clinicians to integrate diverse data types.




- Prepare manuscripts for publication and present research findings at scientific conferences.

Requirements

- Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral or relevant industry experience in genetics and genomics research.
- Proficiency in genetic analysis software and statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python).
- Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis is highly desirable.
