What You'll Do A successful Field Operations Manager will have a strong understanding of Canadian Tire retail operations and the Dealer model.

The Field Operations

Manager leads with integrity, authenticity, and empathy to foster a customer-centric brand standard that is fairly and consistently applied across their region. They are resilient, curious, self-driven, and committed to continuous development to remain at the forefront of retail excellence. In addition, you will oversee a field team, ensuring effective leadership, development, and alignment with organizational goals. Partnering with the regional vice president on operational goals in the market.

- Maintain an ethical and collaborative relationship between the Dealers and Corporation.
- Champion the execution of Canadian Tire’s True North Strategy, prioritizing Customers at the Core to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Partner directly with RVP building regional priorities and capacity to help plan and achieve corporate priorities.
- General understanding of the market, demographics, and competitive landscape.
- Ensure aligned corporate objectives are understood through written, verbal, and in-person communication.
- Lead and support a team of Retail Execution Managers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational excellence.
- Drive team engagement and accountability through regular communication, feedback & performance tracking while acting as the primary escalation point for Retail Execution Managers.
- Develop and maintain strong operational expertise, ensuring the team is proficient in all operational programs and processes.
- Build strong partnerships with Regional Vice Presidents to drive strategic alignment & priorities across the region.

What You Bring

- A self-driven leader with the ability to work independently, prioritize time and tasks across multiple locations through strong time management and organizational skills.
- Takes personal accountability to resolve or identify issues, concerns, and challenges escalated from the store and field team.
- Ability to recommend effective solutions and leverage additional resources to overcome operational challenges in all areas of the business.
- Provide constructive feedback on barriers to the adoption of corporate programs and offer recommendations to overcome these barriers to key stakeholders.
- Strong capability to lead in an ambiguous setting and create clarity out of complexity.




- Strong collaboration and timely effective communications skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a high performing operational field team.
- Curious forward thinker about store operational trends in the industry.
- Minimum of 10 years in operational experience in Canadian Tire or equivalent retail.
- 5 years of people management experience.
- Required to travel extensively within and, at times, outside of assigned region.
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes without authority.
- Ability to interpret data, gain insights, and provide recommendations.
- Understanding the financial levers of a retail store.
- Ability to manage and adhere to a travel expense policy.
- General understanding of current and emerging technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience leading field teams across multiple regions.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively manage and develop team members.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

Broadband Salary Range: $64,000 – 106,000. Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $85,000.

Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
