Registered Veterinary Technologist Ophthalmology Employment Type: Full Time Maternity Leave Contract The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.Centre is currently welcoming a full time, Ophthalmology Register Veterinary Technologist to join our very busy service. Centre is a fully functioning referral hospital, with board certified specialists in a wide range of referral services including: internal medicine, critical care, surgery, radiology, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, emergency and dentistry/oral surgery. E Centre is committed to supporting pet owners and the veterinary community by providing the highest level of animal emergency and referral care.

Anesthesia with mechanical ventilator and paralytic medication is common practice and will need to be performed almost daily.



Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to): starting appointments, performing ERG and IOP’s, collection and running of blood samples, as well as maintaining timely and accurate patient records. 5 hour shift over the Tuesday- Friday period. Additional after-hours anesthesia duties are required.
