Our energy & resources client is seeking a Senior AI & Data Analytics IT Specialist (10+ years) to design and deliver enterprise AI/analytics solutions using AI/ML, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory

Join a large-scale enterprise setting delivering advanced AI and data analytics initiatives within the oil & gas sector. This role leads end-to-end AI/BI architecture delivery, scalable analytics solution design, and enterprise data platform initiatives supporting strategic and operational outcomes. The position works across complex programs involving AI/ML, LLMs, cloud-based analytics, and enterprise data architecture.

Hybrid work is available for candidates based in North York, Calgary, or Ottawa.

Contract, North York Calgary Hybrid, Mon, Tue, Thu in office

Must Haves

- 7+ years in AI/data architecture within large, complex organizations
- 5+ years delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML and analytics solutions
- Strong expertise with Databricks , Azure Data Factory , ETL/ELT, and cloud-based analytics platforms
- Direct experience with LLMs , model lifecycle management , and responsible AI governance frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Nice to Have

- TOGAF certification
- Databricks Machine Learning or Data Engineering professional certification
- Version control, CI/CD, or MLOps practices
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Confluence

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end design and technical delivery of AI/BI architecture initiatives
- Provide technical leadership across AI and analytics programs
- Approve and govern solution architecture for AI and data products
- Translate business requirements into scalable AI and analytics solutions
- Design and validate secure and high-performing analytics architectures
- Develop AI and analytics data models and data pipelines




- Support solution implementation and operations through documentation, training, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution
