Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Building Mechanical Engineer to join our team in our Calgary office. In this role you will be responsible for mechanical engineering/consulting services with a primary focus in building services design.

Community volunteer opportunities An office that is walking distance from Crowfoot Train Station You will design functional and sustainable facilities that are user and operator-friendly and enhance the overall community.
You will have experience in a range of market sectors which could include the following: government and emergency services, water and wastewater facilities, education, sport and recreation.
Your responsibilities will include preparing reports, detailed drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents as well as participating in mentoring, scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration and inspection.
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
5+ years progressive experience in Mechanical Engineering within the consulting engineering environment.
Proficiency in building load analysis software.
Proficiency in AutoCad and/or Revit is an asset.
Experience with the assessment and design of building HVAC,
plumbing and fire protection systems.
Experience with energy audits and energy modelling is an asset.
Ability to collaborate in a multidiscipline design team and communicate to achieve project objectives.
Ability to conduct site reviews to assess condition, determine progress, deficiencies, and enforce contract documents.
