Office REIT is currently looking for a Building Operator for our Toronto Downtown area and who is ready to work hard, understands the importance of excellent customer service, and is self-motivated and willing to learn. Over the time you’ve worked as a Building Operator, you’ve proven that you are not afraid to think outside the box to find the best approach to achieve results. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and life safety systems and facilities

- Complete tenant service calls such as changing lights, heating/cooling calls etc.

Operate Building

Automation and Security computer systems

- Troubleshoot technical and operational issues, and provide solutions/recommendations
- Oversee contractors and ensure they abide by building guidelines
- Communicate with Operations Manager/Senior Operator/Property Management on building and tenant issues
- Complete daily inspections of equipment through the TAP reporting system
- Contact suppliers, obtain quotes, and order materials/supplies
- On-call or weekend shifts, as required
- Move and lift heavy equipment and supplies
- Work indoors and outdoors Travel to other portfolio properties if support is needed These are only some of the things we’d like you to bring to the table. 2+ years of experience in building operations and building maintenance; ~ You’ve gained your experience in a commercial/office/retail environment; ~ You are familiar with safety and fire codes and WHMIS procedures; ~ Your computer and communications skills are above par
- Valid driver’s license is an asset.

This is a regular, full-time position with a base salary range of $65,000–$75,000.
