Reporting to the Head of PMO, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for collecting, documenting and communicating business requirements to stakeholders and translating them into functional and non-functional specifications for current and existing applications. Conduct business analysis for various initiatives across business lines, adhering to existing processes/standards





- Develop/Maintain subject matter expertise in applications and business needs
- Facilitate gap analysis between current and desired state
- Author documentation such as Business Requirements, Use Cases, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across the organization to elicit, document, validate, and obtain sign-off on business and technical requirements
- Provide user training and documentation (i.e., Release Notes) and post implementation support
- Keep current with industry and/or business trends
- Recommend and implement new processes to improve BA standards, quality, and efficiency. 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets, with a focus on Fixed Income products and trading Expert knowledge in Canadian Fixed Income - Bonds and Money Markets Understanding of API design, data flows, and system integration SQL or database querying experience is a plus Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, PPT, Outlook, Excel, Visio) Advanced knowledge of SDLC and Agile best practices for requirements analysis, gathering and modeling, traceability, and documentation standards Highly flexible in prioritizing various work demands Key Qualities for Success Highly attentive to detail and committed to quality. Prioritize own workload to delivery quality results and meet timelines. Make recommendations to Head of PMO for process improvements / efficiencies.
