Senior Clinical Terminology / Digital Health Standards Consultant

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in clinical terminology mapping, implementation, and terminology standards within healthcare environments.
- Strong expertise in SNOMED CT / SNOMED CT-CA and LOINC / pCLOCD, including terminology mapping, value sets, and terminology artifact development.
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of HL7 FHIR and HL7 v2 and their application in healthcare interoperability.
- Robust understanding of Canadian and pan-Canadian digital health standards, frameworks, tooling, and interoperability initiatives.
- Proven experience implementing clinical terminology solutions and supporting terminology asset lifecycle management.
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems, clinical information systems, clinical data repositories, interoperability services, and healthcare integration initiatives.
- Experience developing and implementing terminology standards within electronic forms (eForms), referrals, and other digital clinical workflows.
- Strong understanding of clinical data harmonization, standards assessment,



interoperability, and standards-based clinical information exchange.
- Experience assessing existing clinical systems for readiness to collect, submit, and exchange standards-based clinical data and identifying appropriate clinical workflows.
- Canadian healthcare experience in acute care, primary care, and/or community care settings; public-sector experience is mandatory.
- Strong requirements gathering, research, analysis, documentation, specification development, testing support, and stakeholder/partner engagement skills.
- Experience with terminology asset-management tools such as Apelon DTS, TermWorks, Ontoserver, or Shrimp is an asset; excellent communication, collaboration, and knowledge-transfer skills are required.

Location: Ontario — Remote currently, with potential onsite work at the hiring manager's discretion.

Engagement: October 2026 – March 2027 | Senior-level consulting engagement.
