Your Opportunity:

The Senior Consultant is a key professional role that provides impactful expertise to support the Strategy, Accountability & Performance function within Acute Care Strategy & Planning. This position will be responsible for providing support to the accountability documents of ACA. The Senior Consultant will report to the Executive Director, Strategy, Accountability & Performance and will work on the coordinated application of a variety of corporate reporting and compliance documents, including the performance reports, Health Plan, Action Plans, Annual Report, Operational Plans and other accountability documentation as required. The Senior Consultant will support the Strategy, Accountability and Performance team by supporting data acquisition, interpretation and data visualization. The incumbent has unique knowledge, skills and experience in the development and implementation of reporting processes as well as utilizing a variety of data sources based/sourced from throughout the organization. This, together with the design, development and management of visually appealing reports and data products rounds out the unique function of this role. To be successful in this role, the incumbent will: demonstrate the ability to work well as part of a team, often in high pressure situations with tight timelines and deliverables; be detail-oriented and possess critical thinking skills; be proficient in dealing with highly complex or sensitive issues in a qualified manner; and, demonstrate a solid track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Description:

The Senior Consultant is a key professional role that provides impactful leadership and expertise to support the Strategy, Accountability & Performance function within Planning and Performance. The Senior Consultant will report to the Executive Director, Strategy, Accountability & Performance and will work on the coordinated application of a variety of corporate reporting and compliance documents, including the performance reports,



Health Plan, Action Plans, Annual Report, Operational Plans and other accountability documentation as required. The Senior Consultant will support the team in data acquisition, interpretation and data visualization. The incumbent has unique knowledge, skills and experience in the development and implementation of reporting processes as well as utilizing a variety of data sources based/sourced from throughout the organization, including tableau or equivalent environments. This, together with the design, development and management of visually appealing reports and data products rounds out the unique function of this role. This position supports various initiatives, committees and/or project teams. Support the team in data acquisition, interpretation, and data visualization. The incumbent has unique knowledge, skills, and experience in using a variety of data sources. Support the development of an automated data processing pipeline including building quality assurance checks to validate and ensure data integrity of the reports and visualization products. Support the development of an audit trail for verification and validation on all performance metrics articulated in the Health & Business Plan. Develop strong working relationships with all analytic teams across ACA, HSS and the Ministry. Provide specialized knowledge to support the CEO Office, ACA, Communications and the Minister of Health.

Required Qualifications: Masters degree preferred in, business or health administration, public health analytics, data science, social science, computer science or related discipline. A minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in a corporate reporting, administrative, planning, analytics, data visualization and evaluation, quality improvement or clinical role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is required (healthcare experience an asset). A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may also be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications: The incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Proven abilities in complex problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Be detail oriented and possess critical thinking skills. This position is expected to deal with uncertainty and in that, provide clarity by synthesizing corporate data into a format that supports effective decision making. Proven ability to work within a team as a contributing member. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.

Experience in initiating and fostering positive relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders. Ability to deal with highly complex or sensitive issues in a professional manner. Advanced computer skills especially in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, MS Project and Adobe Pro.

Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree preferred in, business or health administration, public health analytics, data science, social science, computer science or related discipline.
