Posting End Date: Open Until Filled Employer: Shared Health Site: Shared Health - Dauphin Regional Health Centre Department / Unit: Dauphin CT Anticipated Start Date - End Date: ASAP - 10/01/2027 Reason for Term: Maternity Leave Anticipated Shift: Days;Evenings;Nights;Weekends;Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Under the general supervision of the Senior/Charge Technologist, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Shared Health, the CT Technologist - General Duty is responsible for performing and assisting radiologists and other physicians in the performance of a CT; participating in the student teaching program; the performance of assigned area functions; Minimum of one-year Radiology experience required.
Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Imaging Technology. Successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists certification exam (CAMRT). Must have the ability to start and establish IVs or commit to acquiring this skill through on the job training in conjunction with formal courses (e.g., IV Medication Administration or Vascular Access for Health Care Professionals at Red River Community College).
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels of personnel, both internally and externally, and within an inter-disciplinary setting which includes students or residents. Demonstrated planning, organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload. Demonstrated problem-solving and critical analysis skills.
May be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress. This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions in Shared Health that combine to equal more than 1.0 FTE.
