Position Title: Senior Manager, Annual Campaigns &

• Development Operations, will increase annual funds, develop and execute the Annual Campaign, manage appeals, oversee and create efficiencies in development system tools, and operationally prepare the development department for future growth. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), This Senior management role will help supervise and grow the Annual Campaign Team, overseeing development officer(s), student placements, and the Mid-Level Giving Officer. You will serve as the team lead interfacing with and overseeing the Design &
• Digital Media team, which will support the department's marketing outreach efforts. You will mentor and/or collaborate with all members of the development team. Operationally, this role ensures that quality standards are adhered to for all fundraising activities, including oversight and direction of general administration, stewardship tracking, moves management, budgeting for the Annual Campaign, gift processing, oversight of the CRM database, its manual and its reports, and oversight of licensed tools for development support. Develop and execute Annual fundraising strategies and achieve Annual revenue targets across direct mail, digital, monthly, mid-level, legacy, and tribute giving. Lead direct mail and digital campaigns, including donor acquisition, retention, renewal, and moves management. Monitor campaign performance, analyze trends, and recommend strategies to improve results
• Digital Communications as it supports Annual Campaign Execution (15%) .Manage departmental donor lists and oversee fundraising content and presence across the website, social media, and third-party fundraising platforms. Oversee the ongoing maintenance of the department’s website and presence on social media accounts and Comms content as fulfilled by the Design &
• Digital Communications Team Working with Development Officers, manage and update our presence on third-party fundraising platforms, i.e.
Canada
Helps, Race Roster, PayPal Giving Fund, Benevity, etc. Reporting and Database Administration (25%) Lead database administration and provide database training and support. Develop fundraising reports, KPIs, donor recognition lists, and performance reporting for the CDO.
Prepare donor recognition listings for annual reports, the website, digital donor lists, and the digital wall. Maintain updates and troubleshoot the onsite digital donor wall. Lead gift processing (mainly automated for under 2K gifts per year) according to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Guidelines, prepping manual tax receipts as needed and reconciling event revenue.
Liaise with the Finance Manager on monthly bank reconciliations and departmental budgets as needed. Assist in other duties as assigned in advancing the goals of the development team and Stella’s Place. Raiser's Edge database proficiency with Raiser's Edge gift processing is required; NXT experience is an asset Strong digital & direct mail skills: Experience with Mailchimp, Importacular, Red Arc Letterbox,
database importing and exporting is an asset Strong computer literacy: Google Office ( Gmail, Google Docs and Google Sheets), Excel and PowerPoint skills are an asset Excellent relationship‑building skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and volunteers, and connect with donors Excellent detail focus, and a love of data and the insights data can drive Organization, planning and time management skills Stella's Place is an innovative, award‑winning, designed facility located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Queen West and Bathurst.
This is a full‑time, hybrid, senior leadership position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including 3 in‑office days per week. As a key leader of the development team, occasional weekend and evening work will be required in response to events, donor needs, and strategic initiatives. You will receive regular coaching, development, and performance feedback from the Chief Development Officer and provide the same to your direct reports.
